What is Periodicity?

Perodicity is defined as repetition of the event in regular interval of time. Ex. Mathematically function asin wt is a periodic function with periodicity of 2pi. Also rotation of earth around sun in 365.15 days is also a periodic motion.

Why |x-5| =-4 is invalid ? could some one brief here

When "absolute" of some value is taken ,the resultant value will always be positive,hence the equation itself is not valid as the answer is -4(a negative value)
