It is a complex compound formed of cement ingredients that reacted with each other with the help of water. These are Tri-calcium silicate (C3S), Di-calcium silicate (C2S), Tri-calcium aluminate (C3A) Tetra-calcium alumino ferrite (C4AF). They are responsible for the setting of cement paste.
