NCERT official site has everything, even the books. Follow the NCERT pattern as they are the real experts. Don't give notes rather tell them to make there own notes and check them. Start the first class as per the book with a sense of discipline in students' mind.

Give him calculative challenges. He will get natural resistance while winning the challenge. It can be a puzzle or obstacle or some household chores or to keep an eye that water should not be wasted. Small and calculated, he will be compelled to learn patience.
