I graduated B.Sc. from Delhi University in 1992 and pursued my B.Ed in 1995 from Annamalai University. I have worked since 1995, curating an experience of eighteen years. As a maths teacher, I have worked in many reputed schools like Delhi Public school and RK Puram school. I have an experience of more than eighteen years.
As a teacher, I want to make education an exciting and enriching experience for students. Every student is scared of math, and I want to help them realise the real fun behind the subject. I teach them different ways to solve problems and learn challenging concepts. While teaching in schools, I have worked with different kinds of students with varying grasping capacities. I have attended several workshops. I take classes for students of the class third to ninth. For classes third to seventh, I take maths, social science and science. For higher classes, I take only maths. I accept online and offline classes with students either divided into small groups of three to four or prefer private classes as per students' requirements.
I pay utmost attention to clearing up the basic concepts for the students and finding different ways for them to learn. I emphasise teaching the logic behind the methods and concepts rather than emphasising students just memorising the course materials. Regular assignments are provided to the students to track their learning progress. I give them practice sheets with different questions to sharpen their knowledge. Standard tests are taken, which makes it efficient for the parents and me to understand the child’s strengths and weaknesses. I often use whiteboards while explaining the topics. I emphasise making my classes interactive, where students can share their thoughts freely. So far, the feedbacks i have received are excellent, and parents are happy with the results and growth of their child.
