Basic Language can be learnt from one month to three months if you practice the LSRW METHOD. (LISTENING, SPEAKING, READING AND WRITING/at least to learn the alphabet and basic spellings.) If you PRACTICE more listening and try to practise speaking, speaking the desired language would become a piece of cake or cakewalk.
