Mohammed Umair

Mohammed Umair is a faculty member Department of Commerce, St. Joseph's College, Bangalore. He teaches Finance and Taxation Courses for Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. He also teaches BBA students at St. Joseph's evening college and Students of MBA Executive programme offered by St. Joseph's institution. Before his academic career, he has worked for several MNCs, to name a few HSBC, ICICI, IBM, Cognizant and Honeywell in different domains like recruitment, operations, training and finance. His passion towards teaching drove him to the education sector, and in short span of 8 years, he is recognised as a distinguished and committed teacher by the students and colleagues. Mohammed Umair is also an enthusiast researcher and has presented & published research papers in various international conferences and research journals. In addition to teaching and research, he is also authored several textbooks different commerce subjects. Mohammed Umair is also known for his quizzing skills and has conducted more than hundred quiz shows for various college fests. During his student life, he was a recipient of "Student of the Year" award in graduation.
