Take one article of any newspaper and go through the article at least 2-3 times until you get a compact analysis of that article. For beginners you can try taking up an article of your choice be it a sports, movie review, interview or economic topics. Also list down all the new words you come across while reading the article. Get the meaning of the words along with synonyms and antonyms. It will really help you out for improving your basic English reading capability. For grammar and practice sessions you can pick up the Objective English book by S.P. Bakshi. All the best to you.
