Agasthya Academy

The Agasthya Academy is founded with the intention of bringing changes in science education starting at the secondary and high school levels by seamlessly integrating experiments and classroom teaching. To this end, we have put together a team of highly qualified and motivated teachers some of whom are fresh PhD's with close to 10 years of research and teaching experience and have published their study in national and international peer-reviewed journals. Furthermore, at Agasthya, we have evolved a course-structure with about 70% classroom teaching and 30% experiments/hands-on learning which has been developed in close consultation with eminent scientists and teachers.
At Agasthya Academy, we conduct Science Workshops biannually where High School students are provided with an opportunity to interact with eminent scientists and researchers and also get to work on full-fledged experiments put together by our team. In this workshop, demonstration sessions by subject experts will be followed up with hands-on experimentation sessions where the students are required to set up an experiment, carry out measurements and systematically present their findings. This will be followed by an assessment of the students learning over the course of the camp in the form of a Quiz. All participants will be provided with certificates and winners of the quiz with a cash prize.
